About the project
Jenny lives in a semi-detached 1930s house in Twickenham. As an artistic seamstress she needs quite a lot of space for her craft equipment and, although not completely sure what to do about it, she engaged an Architect to draw up some plans for an extension and a loft conversion.
Jenny was granted planning approval and it was time to start speaking to builders. Having received a letter from J Build offering a no obligation, free quotation and realising we were a trusted local company, Jenny decided to give us a call. During an initial meeting to discuss the details of her project she explained to J Build’s surveyor that, due to the scale of all the work and the potential disruption, it was uncertain whether she would complete the extension and the loft together, so she requested that the two projects were quoted for individually.
Following the meeting Jenny received two fully broken down quotes for the respective projects which she was impressed by, especially the level of detail that was lacking from other builders, even one that was a family friend. Having visited some past customers and considering all of her options, Jenny felt most comfortable with J Build, so she engaged us to carry out the loft and the extension all at the same time.
Now Jenny has more than enough room to do her craft work using the en-suite loft bedroom as her design studio.
